Manal Al Braiki

Director of Strategic Planning and Organisational Development

Manal Salem Al Braiki is the Director of Strategic Planning and Organisational Development at the Emirates Diplomatic Academy, EDA. In this position she is responsible for developing, monitoring, analysing, and communicating guidelines, policies, and business plans to manage the overall strategy, in-line with the UAE government’s vision and aspiration.

Al Baraiki’s responsibilities at the Academy, include updating the corporate strategic plan; updating departments’ business plans on an operational level; as well as conducting Quality Assurance (QA) activities, updating the corporate QA manual and ensuring departments adherence to it, as well as conducting and analysing various yearly surveys.

With 12 years of industry experience, Al Braiki has held various leading positions in her field. At the Department of Transport (DoT), she rose through the ranks within the Corporate Strategic Planning and Performance Management Division. As a Performance Management Specialist, she managed the Performance Management function to assess the execution of the Corporate Strategic Plan and identified key deliverables and improvement plans for all divisions within the DoT. She was also responsible for preparing and conducting monthly presentations to the top management to summarise the overall performance of the KPIs and initiatives and facilitate decisions impacting the organisation and its mode of doing business.

Al Braiki has a great passion for excellence and that shows clearly through her dedicated work, with specific expertise in supporting strategic management and leadership projects.

Al Braiki holds an Executive Master of Business Administration in Strategic Management from the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) and received her Bachelor of Science in Education and Social Science Studies from Zayed University. She is also a Certified Kaplan-Norton Balanced Scorecard Graduate and has obtained CMI level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership (QCF).
